The Wilderness Survival Summer Field Session takes you beyond the classroom giving you the chance to practice summer survival skills in the boreal forest. This course has a relaxed hands-on learning atmosphere, giving you a chance to develop the modern wilderness survival skills discussed in Wilderness Survival Core Seminar. Numerous skills will be taught during the weekend, with plenty of time allotted to practice these skills.

Wilderness Survival Summer Field Session will give you an excellent look at the summer forest. Emphasis will be on useful boreal forest plants, fire Lighting and knifecraft. Fire Lighting practice will be extensive and emphasize will be on lighting fire with natural tinders and a striker. Participants will live in a group shelter on the first night and in their individual survival shelter on the second night. Each participant will have the opportunity to build a summer survival shelter, a 15 minute Survival Saw, a sharpening board, and a staff. The next step is to join us on the 5-day Wilderness Survival Summer Field Trek.
