Professional Winter Snow Shelter Construction
The IASCC is an advanced Snow Shelter Building Course that lets you travel up where the snow is deep and get the chance to build excellent Snow Caves and Igloos. We Cover the Theory and Practical Application of Building Quinche (Alternate Spellings include; Quinzhee, Quincee, Quincy or Quinchee), Inuit Igloos, Scottish Igloos, and various designs of Snowcaves. We will discuss and practice winter snow shelters construction, safe sighting of shelters, use in of snow shelters in survival situations, and different techniques for building snowcaves. The main Emphasis of the Course is Modern Igloo Building Techniques.
Learn Real Igloo Building
- Participants will build a Snowcave and Igloo
- Snowcaves Building for the 1st Night
- Rest of the Course Spent Perfecting Igloo Building Techniques
- Skiing Skill is not Necessary
- Course will move on Snowshoes & by Helicopter or Snowcat if Necessary
- Participant must Supply; Winter Camping Gear, Food, Snowshoes, Shovel, & Avalanche Transceiver
